Internal Control Institute
Best of the Best Award
A tremendous opportunity exists for information systems (IS) organizations which demonstrate a superior and effective commitment to quality principles and practices. QAI Global Institute is seeking result-oriented WORK PRACTICES. Do you have a willingness to share your proven practices with others? If so, not only will other companies benefit from your knowledge but your involvement brings opportunities for rewards to your IT organization.
Practices are defined in the industry as a process which applies knowledge or action to be observed, taught, and trained to other IT professionals. Effective practices can provide added value applicable to any information system team. Quite simply, if it worked for you, it has potential value and interest to be shared with a majority of other organizations.
Any IT organization is encouraged to contribute one or more IT work practices to the repository. The IT work practice does not need to include any reference to the contributing company. QAI retains the right to distribute the IT work practice in any format suitable for use in distribution including extracting or summarizing.

Submit multiple practices as often as desired. Although any format or media submitted will be accepted, the preferred method is on diskette in MS Word with an accompanying hard copy. Don't be modest, copy and submit any practice used by your organization.

Each work practice must be submitted with the QAI application form found on this page. The form must be complete and may be reproduced. Incomplete entries will be returned to the originator. Each work practice must describe an IT process and include, in any sequence and format:

  • Objective - What is the purpose of the practice? What will be accomplished by using this process?
  • Practice Workbench - What are the major inputs, process steps, and deliverables in the process?
  • Input Products - What are the specific inputs to the process? Examples of inputs should be included as worksheets

  • Deliverable- What are the deliverables produced by the process? One page samples of reports, charts, etc. should be included as worksheets.
